
The Tana Forum Secretariat has announced the postponement of the 11th Tana High-Level Forum on Security in Africa from 25 to 27 October 2024 to 2025 without detailing the reason today.
The Tana Forum Secretariat together with the Tana Forum Board has only indicated that it will announce the new dates soon.
For the last decade, the forum has been held annually in Bahir Dar, the capital of the Amhara regional state, and the 10th forum was held in the city in 2022.
“Our commitment to fostering African-led dialogues on peace and security remains unwavering,” reads the secretariat statement.

The discussion platform was initiated by the Institute for Peace and Security Studies (IPSS) of Addis Ababa University (AAU) and prominent figures such as Meles Zenawi, the late Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
